Of course!  We provide a gastroenteric food for all pets that do not bring their own food.  However, we encourage clients to bring their own food from home in order to prevent any unnecessary upset tummies and especially if your pet is on a special veterinarian prescribed diet.

Our annual feline vaccine package includes: Rabies, FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia), Feline Leukemia, a Fecal Worm Test, and a Wellness Exam by Dr. Greenwell.  We feel it is important for even strictly indoor cats to get vaccinated and examined by a doctor every year.  We have had cases of unprotected cats escaping the safety of the home and needing emergency boarding, or hospitalization.  We also offer combination vaccines as well as transdermal air-jet vaccines to minimize your cats discomfort.  If you have any questions about our practices, feel free to ask.

Can I bring my pet’s food from home to feed while boarding?

Of course!  We want your pet to feel as at-home as possible while in our care.  We only ask that you please limit them to 2 or 3 maximum.  As well as keep in mind that as much as we’d like to provide it, they do not have an entire room to themselves as they do at home.  So beds must be a reasonable size to fit inside a six by four foot run with enough room left for your pet to move comfortably.  Keep in mind that we have towels available for pets that need the extra cushion.

We please ask that you label your pet’s personal belongings whenever possible!

Why should my pet be on heartworm and flea prevention all year round?

Heartworm disease is transmitted by mosquitoes.  Although they are more prevalent in the summer, our Texas winters never stay cold enough for long enough for them to go completely dormant.  This is why it is important even when pets are inside more to stay on heartworm and flea prevention all year long.  They don’t stop at your front door.  Don’t forget that fleas carry tapeworms, which are TRANSMITTABLE TO PEOPLE!
